Contribution from Our Faculty Member to the ‘Healthy Bee, Healthy Life’ Education Programme
Our Department of Microbiology faculty member, Associate Professor Dr Ayşe Ebru Borum, participated as a guest speaker in the training programme entitled ‘Healthy Bees, Healthy Life: Diversification of Bee Products, Bee Health and Colony Management’, organised in collaboration with the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ordu Province Beekeepers' Association.
The programme, held in Ordu Province, aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of beekeepers in the region, support sustainable beekeeping practices, and raise awareness about bee health.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Ebru Borum gave a comprehensive presentation on protecting bee health, colony management, microbiological risks, and diversifying bee products. The presentation, which was followed with great interest by the participants, shared current scientific approaches in beekeeping and proposed solutions to problems encountered in practice.
At the end of the programme, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Borum was thanked for her contributions and presented with a plaque.
