147 Academic Staff Members Appointed and Promoted at BAÜN’s Academic Excellence Summit 2025–2026

The Balıkesir University (BAÜN) Academic Appointment and Promotion Ceremony for the 2025–2026 Academic Year was held in the Şehit Fethi Sekin Conference Hall at the Atatürk Congress and Culture Centre. The ceremony was attended by BAÜN Rector Yücel Oğurlu, vice-rectors, members of the Senate, and the academic staff who had been appointed or promoted, along with their families.

The programme began with a moment of silence and the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a musical performance. In his opening address, Rector Oğurlu noted that the university was advancing its academic development year on year, emphasising the importance placed on scientific output, research projects, international collaborations and high-quality publication work.

A total of 147 academic staff members were appointed or promoted during the 2025–2026 academic year. We congratulate the academic staff of our faculty and wish them continued success.
