BAÜN Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Wins First Prize at International Congress
The 19th International Continuing Education Congress, organised by the Small Animal Veterinary Association in collaboration with the WSAVA and FECAVA Turkey representatives, was held at the Wyndham Grand Istanbul Levent Hotel & Conference Centre from 7 to 9 November 2025.
Our university achieved significant success at the congress, which was attended by renowned experts from both national and international spheres.
The poster presentation prepared by the Department of Surgery at Balıkesir University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was awarded first prize by the Congress Scientific Committee.
The study titled ‘Unilateral Hydronephrosis in Cats: Diagnostic Evaluation and Surgical Treatment in a Series of Five Cases,’ prepared by Prof. Dr. Göksen AYALP and Master's student Sedef ALKUT, earned Sedef Alkut first place in the poster presentation.
