Postgraduate Education in Veterinary Science and Animal Science is Being Strengthened
Another significant development has been implemented to strengthen the postgraduate education infrastructure of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Balıkesir University. In accordance with a decision taken by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the launch of the Master’s Programme in Veterinary Zootechnics (with thesis) and the Doctoral Programme in Veterinary Zootechnics has been approved.
With the launch of these new postgraduate programmes, our Faculty will continue to make significant contributions to scientific research, academic output and the training of qualified human resources by further expanding postgraduate education opportunities in the field of veterinary medicine.
As the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Balıkesir University, we aim to enhance the quality of postgraduate education, support scientific research and contribute to the development of specialist researchers and academics needed by our country.
It is anticipated that the Thesis-Based Master’s and Doctoral Programmes in Veterinary Zootechnics will make significant contributions to scientific research in the fields of animal husbandry, genetic improvement, animal production and sustainable livestock farming, whilst also providing a strong academic foundation for students wishing to specialise in these areas.
The student admission process for these programmes will be announced by Balıkesir University once the necessary academic and administrative preparations have been completed.
We hope this will be of benefit to our Faculty, our University and the scientific community; we hope that our new postgraduate programmes will make valuable contributions to our country’s scientific development and to the field of veterinary medicine.
