The Second Anniversary of a Scientific Achievement: Turkey’s First IVF Foal, ‘Balat’, Celebrates Another Year!
A symbolic 2nd birthday celebration was held for ‘Balat’, Turkey’s first test-tube foal, born via embryo transfer from Friesian horses by our team of experts led by Prof. Dr. Mehmet CAN Gündüz at Balıkesir University.
The event, attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel OĞURLU, our Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Cevdet AVCIKURT and Prof. Dr. Fatih SATIL, our Dean Prof. Dr. Ziya İLHAN, and our Centre Director Prof. Dr. Şükrü Metin PANCARCI, provided an opportunity to examine Balat’s development and health in person.
The fact that this valuable work in the field of animal husbandry and reproductive technologies at our university is continuing successfully once again demonstrates the success of our academic projects. We congratulate all our staff involved.
